Photosynthesis & More....

    As part of our study of plant life, the students have been learning about photosynthesis, the process by which plants make their own food.  To help students remember the steps to this process, we have been “acting” it out, complete with props.  Everyone was given a chance to participate, and the students had fun learning through role play!  The students also conducted an experiment to learn how stems carry water and nutrients throughout a plant.  They placed celery stalks in water in which a few drops of food coloring were added. Over time, they observed that the colored water moved up the stalk of the celery and into the leaves on top.   Check out some of the photos below:
