It's Respect Week!

It's Respect Week at St. Leo's, and this year's theme is "Camp Kindness!" Each day, the students participate in activities that promote the importance of being kind -----  to their families, to themselves and others, to their church, school, and community, and to all of God's creations. So far, the students have taken a "kindness" pledge and written a poem showing ways they can be kind to their families.  They also attended an assembly hosted by NJ Exotic Pets, where they had the opportunity to learn about and view some amazing animals, including snakes, a tortoise, and a tarantula!  In keeping with the week's camping theme, each student who is "caught" being kind to someone gets to add a marshmallow to our class bucket ---- and at the end of the week, we'll be "roasting" the marshmallows at a Camp Kindness Campfire!
