In Social Studies, the students will be learning about North America’s earliest communities. They will be comparing and contrasting characteristics of the mounds built by the Native Americans of Cahokia and the pyramids built by the Teotihuacans. From there we’ll move on to learning about the Powhatan tribe and their interactions with the English settlers of Jamestown. As a culminating project, our class will be making a paper replica of the fort built at Jamestown…….Beginning Thursday, November 5th, ice cream will be sold for $1 during lunch. See the family folder for more information…..Don’t forget that this Friday, November 6th is a half day with a 12:15 dismissal.  Hope to see you at the Tricky Tray that evening!
